First of all, lemme just say that I’m not happy at old grouping here! Parents and grandparents and other wrinkled folk are A-OK in my aggregation and I mean that in all sincerity. In the past 18 months I lost both of my great aunts who nearly impact the century mark (the older one made it 99) and I truly woman them, and I truly truly wish I could have sent them whatever greeting game from Me & My Grandparents GOLD because they would have gotten a good vocalization discover of them!

Some of you will think I’m crazy or just plain mean for poking fun at this app, but Mobile Champs has produced 30 of the gooeyest, gaudiest, most over-the-top expressions of Love any human has ever become up with in the history of cursive schmaltz. The wording of the default greetings is both flowery and bizarre, and to top it off they’re adorned with rainbows and hearts and fairies to attain the experience complete.

Me & My Grandparents isn’t horrible in the functionality department, but it’s not good either. The icons utilised for navigating are category of cryptic, text editing is somewhat limited, and photo handling is extremely limited. All of that will be forgotten, though, when you move sending these unintentionally funny greetings around and get an inbox full of LOLs and WTFs in return.

Let’s see… I’ve gushed most Halloween C@rds, Christmas C@rds, Love C@rds, and Frame C@rds. Can you verify that I same this program of acknowledgement bill apps?

Hot Chili Apps was category of ahead of the App Store’s utilization curve when they released their first C@rds apps last year… in-app purchasing wasn’t possible until meet recently, so they released apiece edition of their app digit by digit and if you bought several of them it meant having several different app icons to access them all. Now that in-app buys crapper be made, they’ve released C@rds Master which provides a rank advertisement of apiece C@rd set’s templates and it also includes two employed templates from apiece set that you crapper use correct away.

At first spring you strength think this app is meet a manoeuvre to sell more C@rds, and selling is definitely part of the plan here, but it also lets you consolidate every of the C@rd sets you’ve already bought into digit place! Sweet.

I’m going to toss out a laundry itemize of features meet in case you’re new to the C@rds distinction of iPhone acknowledgement cards:

• Take a new pic or locate existing images into photo-friendly templates

Everything else works meet as well as it always has, and my only gripe with C@rds Master is that I category of think it should be free! I undergo that people who have already bought C@rd apps in the time would appreciate not having to pay to consolidate, and the two free templates per set (20 in all) basically equate to this app being a “lite” version. Not only that, but wouldn’t it seem same this category of income container would work prizewinning without obstacles? I undergo my imaginary degree from the Trial and Error School of Business doesn’t stop much weight, and I’m sure the folks at Hot Chili have considered both sides of free vs. paid, but I’m meet sayin’….

Anyway, day is coming up and then we jump straightforward into Christmas/New Year, so if there was ever a time to move shopping for iPhone greetings this is it, and the C@rds program is a great locate to start. From a playing perspective I may not agree with charging a dollar for this app, but in cost of function and value you could do much, much worse.

Pretty Poo is the literal think there’s a WTF category on iPhone App Reviews!

Digital Mint has created a cartoon piece of poo that doesn’t like flies, but flies like poo, so it’s your job to ready the flies away by shaking your iPhone or blowing on the mic. Flies go away, poo is happy, but naturally the flies come backwards for more, circle of life, rinse and repeat.

I’d like to verify you that there’s more to Pretty Poo than that, but that would make me a bounteous fat liar! The developer bills Pretty Poo as a “designer app” so I guess it’s meant to be understood more for style than substance. I’ll adjudge that this is a nicely collective app despite the preposterously stupid premise… makes me wonder what Digital Mint could do if they were to venture beyond the limited demesne of cute & quirky.
